Terra Lenta Festival
This multidisciplinary event is aimed at anyone who wants to explore how we can preserve our world and get involved in protecting it. In a diverse programme of lectures, panel discussions and creative exchanges, we will address topics ranging from ecosystems and climate justice to inclusive economic systems, biodiversity, energy, cooperation models, social justice, tourism and the resilience of local communities.
This year's theme: A celebration of water, memory and the right to remain. The focus is on a profound reflection on water – as a source of life, identity, memory and belonging. Water sustains ecosystems, but it also carries stories and cultures. When it disappears – through drought, pollution or privatisation – cultural identity and our way of life are also at risk.
Highlight: The Poetics of the River: Water, Memory and the Right to Stay
(Panel discussion in English)
The discussion will focus on how water shapes our sense of place and belonging. It will explore the connections between displacement, rural development, inner renewal and the right – both of humans and nature – to remain rooted in their territories.
Whether you are an activist, researcher, artist, politician or simply curious, the Terra Lenta Festival offers a space for dialogue, imagination and action for a more sustainable and just world.
