Who can participate?
Only people over 18 who are themselves the authors of the photos are entitled to participate and submit photos. Employees of the competition organiser are not eligible to participate.
Legal recourse, in particular with regard to the determination of the winners, is excluded. Cash redemption of the prize is not possible and the prize is not transferable. In the case of a win, participants in the competition expressly agree to the collection, automation-supported processing, storage on data carriers and use of their personal data by the competition organiser. This consent can be revoked at any time.
How to participate?
The photo competition starts on 1st July 2023 and ends on 15 October 2023 (24:00). Photo submissions are possible via the website www.nf-int.org/photochallenge (max. one photo per person).
How are the winners determined?
After the end of the submission phase (15 October 2023, midnight), the photos will be evaluated by a jury and the best photos will be selected. The winners will be notified by 31 October 2023.
The winner will be notified by email and must accept the prize by 31 December 2023 at the latest and provide the organiser with the data required for the handover of the prize, e.g. name, address.
If the prize is not accepted within the deadline, the claim to the prize will be forfeited. If the claim to the prize lapses for the reasons stated above, the prize will be re-awarded at the Promoter's discretion. The announcement of the winner is made without guarantee, claims to the prize are not transferable to other persons.
Copyright and rights of use: what is there to consider?
Photos of persons may only be submitted if the personal rights of the persons photographed are respected and consent to the publication of the photo has been obtained.
By participating, the participant confirms that he/she is the author of the submitted photos and thus has unrestricted rights of use to the photos. The participant further confirms that the photos uploaded by him/her are free of third-party rights; in particular, that all identifiable persons depicted agree to the aforementioned uses and that the personal rights of third parties are not violated by these uses. By participating, the participant releases the organiser from any claims by third parties.
The participant assures that the contents of the transmitted image files do not violate applicable prohibition standards. The organiser will remove submissions that violate the law, glorify violence, are pornographic, racist or otherwise offensive or are intended to manipulate the competition. There will be no notification of the deletion of the images.
In addition, the organiser reserves the right to exclude entries from the competition that obviously violate the personal rights of the persons photographed or have obviously been taken without the consent of the persons depicted. Likewise, submitted photos that grossly miss the theme of the competition will not be considered.
Furthermore, the organiser reserves the right to exclude photos from the competition in other justified cases.
The submitted photos or photo excerpts may also be used by Naturefriends International outside of the photo competition for public relations work on the topic of "sustainable tourism/fair travel", provided that the authors are named. The use is non-commercial.
The entrants shall indemnify and hold harmless the awarding body from any copyright claims by third parties (e.g. persons depicted) for the publication. Any use by third parties such as downloads and other publications is not permitted. The organising body reserves the right not to publish photos without giving reasons. By uploading the photos to the site www.nf-int.org/photochallenge, the conditions of participation in the competition are accepted.
The competition is not affiliated with, sponsored, endorsed or organised in any way by Facebook or Instagram. The recipient organisation of the information provided by the participants is not Facebook or Instagram, but the organiser.
Participation in the competition is only possible under the conditions listed here. By participating, participants expressly accept these conditions of participation. The organiser reserves the right to cancel or terminate the competition at any time without prior notice and without giving reasons.
Severability clause: Should any provision of the Conditions of Participation be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. In place of the invalid or missing provisions, the respective statutory provisions shall take effect.
