Natura 2000 areas can not only be discovered on foot or by bicycle, but also by canoe. Naturefriends Germany described several Natura Trails that can be experienced from the water. In cooperation with the respective protected areas and ecologists who know the region, they established routes, always ensuring that canoeing will not represent any danger for sensitive aquatic flora and fauna.

River, lake or wetland area – the chosen routes are rich in variety and promise unique nature experiences. Watch a Eurasian buzzard hunting or listen to the croaking of the frogs – with a little luck, you will be able to observe fascinating spectacles of nature along Natura Trails from the water.
