In September 2015, the United Nations adopted the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”. 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were defined which aim at leading the way into a sustainable future for our planet and allowing all people to lead a good life. The ambitious programme ranges from poverty alleviation over education, gender equality, decent work, a careful way of dealing with nature and our resources to peace-keeping. Everybody is called upon to make a contribution – governments, industry and economy as well as civil society and every single one of us.
